Dark storm clouds approach a steaming pool of intensely and naturally blue water. This pool is part of a geothermal oasis surrounded by a vast expanse of desert at Hveravellir, in the Kjolur region of central Iceland.


After days of rain the clouds began to clear and reveal the face of Half Dome.


Studying volcanoes presents some great photographic opportunities. Extremophile bacteria and a moonscape-like landscape make for natural abstract art in Yellowstone National Park.

Осенние фотопейзажи Неллеке Питерс (Nelleke Pieters)

Молодая женщина-фотограф из Нидерландов, предпочитает снимать лесные фотопейзажи. Причем, большая часть запечатленной местности, таковой не является. и это лишь мастерство самого фотографа, умеющего найти ракурс. Чаще всего, перед нами глухая часть парковых зон, либо просто уголки природы, где деревья растут более плотной стеной. В любом случае, фотографии Неллеке Питерс (Nelleke Pieters) настолько необычны, что их вполне можно отнести к жанру фэнтези, или вообще к концептуальному фото-арту. Тем не менее, мы видим живую природу.
